Take Control of Ticket Resale

PatronSafe™ Ticket Resale: Set ticket resale rules, deliver tickets securely, and capture data for every buyer.

PATRONSAFE™ TICKET RESALE

TRANSPARENT. FAIR. PATRON-FIRST.

PatronSafe™Ticket Resale let's your patrons list tickets authorized for resale in three taps, with no new sign-ups required.

Toggle on resale by performance, price type, or constituent, set price caps and floors, and let us handle the rest. Listings post automatically to 12+ marketplaces—StubHub, SeatGeek, GoTickets and more. When a ticket sells, True Tickets removes the listing from every other site to prevent duplicate sales, securely delivering authorized tickets to the new buyer’s ticket wallet, and sync their name and contact information back into Tessitura.

Finance teams love the automated Stripe payouts (with a net-zero impact on Tessitura GL records), and box-office staff see far fewer “I paid but can’t get in” calls.

  • Pricing controls — Implement reasonable resale price controls to keep tickets accessible
  • Additional revenue — Drive revenue from ticket resale to support your organization

  • First-party data — Resale buyer information syncs as new CRM records in real time

  • Proven in the field — Successfully launched by Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas

  • Included with True Tickets — PatronSafe Ticket Resale comes standard at no additional cost

FAQ

Curious how PatronSafe Ticket Resale works—or what it takes to get started? These quick answers cover the essentials for venues exploring resale control for the first time.

What is PatronSafe Ticket Resale?

PatronSafe Ticket Resale is a resale control feature included with every True Tickets license. It empowers venues to define resale rules, enforce fair pricing, and add third-party marketplace buyers to their CRM. Single sign-on is required so buyers can access tickets in the digital wallet.

Is there an additional cost to enable resale?

No. PatronSafe Ticket Resale is built into your True Tickets license at no additional cost to the venue, though single sign-on is required so buyers can access tickets in the digital wallet.

How does resale benefit our organization?
  • You stay in control of how resale works
  • You expand your audience with buyer data added to Tessitura
  • You eliminate patron confusion at the door with dynamic QR code delivery
  • You may earn commission on resold tickets
Can we choose which events or tickets are eligible for resale? Yes. You can enable or disable resale by performance, price type, constituent, or even at the order level.
How does PatronSafe Ticket Resale help prevent abuse or fraud? Resold tickets are delivered through True Tickets using secure, dynamic QR codes that rotate automatically. You set the minimum and maximum resale prices and control which marketplaces listings appear on.
Where are resale tickets listed? Listings are distributed to over a dozen approved resale marketplaces, including major platforms like StubHub, SeatGeek, and Vivid Seats—only the channels you approve.
Will my organization know who the resale buyer is? Yes. Every resale buyer’s name and email are captured and synced into Tessitura.
Do patrons need to download anything to resell? No apps or passwords required. Sellers list their ticket right from the wallet. Buyers receive tickets seamlessly via the wallet under their own email addresses.
Can I test it before enabling broadly? Yes. We recommend starting with a limited pilot—one production or performance—so your team can experience the setup and patron experience firsthand.
How do we get started? Email support@true-tickets.com for the password to the Starter Kit. There you'll have access to implementation checklists, configuration guides, and rollout best practices. When you're ready to get started email support@true-tickets.com to activate your PatronSafe Ticket Resale capabilities.
Who can resell tickets using PatronSafe? PatronSafe Ticket Resale is currently only supported for U.S.-based ticket holders. Buyers can purchase resold tickets from anywhere, but to list tickets for resale, sellers must have a valid U.S. address and meet Stripe’s U.S. payout requirements.
How do sellers receive payment when their tickets resell? To receive payment, sellers must set up a Stripe account in the digital ticket wallet. They’ll be prompted to do so when listing a ticket. If the setup isn’t complete, they’ll continue to see a reminder until it is.
